Back at their home field, the Vikings took on the Dominican University Chargers. Although they gave it their all, they came up short in the end, surrendering the win to the Chargers, 11-9.

Dominican would start the scoring off early with six runs in the first two innings. In the bottom of the third, the Vikings would try to keep up, earning three runs. In the bottom of the sixth, Westchester would even tie the game at 8-8. In the last two innings of the game, the Vikings suffered a deficit they couldn't recover from. Dominican University had scored three runs, while the Vikings could only get one past them.

Owen Tyler pitched most of the game for the Vikings, and only 3 of the 8 runs were earned. Tyler also secured 7 strikeouts. Nick Vendola and Lucas Feliciano each scored 2 runs for the team. Adding another run each for WCC was Ryan Done, Freddy Heymach, Randel Weisner, Michael Tiseo, and Joseph Cohen.

Westchester is set to play Monroe University today, April 11th, in a doubleheader at 11AM and 1:30PM at the Vikings Field.
