Valhalla, NY - In a matchup which had favored the Falcons for a few years the Lady Vikings looked to end the losing streak against Dutchess and they did just that, with a sweep in 3 sets.

WCC jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Great passing and team play led to an easy first two sets finishing in scores of 25-15 and 25-14. 

However, in the third set DCC had the Vikings on the ropes as they would go up 14 to 11 when head coach Phil Toscano called a timeout to regroup his squad. He did just that, and Yulis Vidal would have 4 straight aces to give WCC the lead back. This momentum carried them from there going on a 14-5 run to end the match and give them their third straight 3 set win.

This was Westchester's first win against Dutchess Community College since 2022. They will look to stay hot as they travel to Manhattan to face Borough of Manhattan Community College and FIT in a tri match on September 20th at 12:00 and 1:15 PM.
