Valhalla, NY- After a heartbreaking 68-70 defeat to the #22 Colts of Orange County Community College you would think it may be difficult to get up for your next game. Not this team. They bounced back in a big way against a Middlesex team who beat them earlier this season 80-63. 

 

The Vikings controlled the tempo from beginning to end pretty much doing whatever they wanted to offensively. They scored 44 points in each half and had 5 players score in double figures. Sophomore Tarik Dacosta(Bronx, NY/Marist High School) controlled the game tallying 17 points snagging 6 rebounds and finding his teammates 6 times as well for 6 assists.  He piggy backed off his 12 point 10 assist game against Orange. Right behind was his backcourt mate Tiziah Spears(Brooklyn, NY/Brooklyn College Academy) who had 15 points and 6 rebounds. Sophomore Fari Joseph(Bronx, NY/St. Raymonds High School) had his best game since returning from injury as he netted 12 points. Isaac Turay(Freetown, Sierra Leone/Ahmadiyya Muslim Senior Secondary School) and Iziah Gonzalez(Washington Heights,NY/Louis D. Brandeis) both had 11 in the win. 

 

Again, this was a big win for the Vikings as they avenged a 17 point loss from November 8th with a 19 point win Saturday. They will be back in action on Tuesday at home in Viking Gymnasium at 7:00 PM. They will take on Rockland Community College in a crucial conference match up with seeding implications on the line.
