Lansing, MI – The WCC Men's Bowling team returned to the NJCAA Championships at Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing, Michigan on Friday.  Bowling as a partial team, the Vikings hung in there against full scoring teams over the two-day competition.

Leading the squad was Freshman, Jonathan Adair.  He led the team with two games over the 200 pin mark and had a team best 208.  He also led the Vikings with a 524 series during the team event.  He completed the All Events portion of play with a 170 average, good for a 58th place in the nation finish.

Next top finisher for the team was Freshman Sean McDonough.  The newcomer had his best event to date finishing with a 158 average over 12 games.  His game high was a 183 during the team event and he earned a series high of 499.

New to bowling before this year was Yosef Bunick.  Yosef progressed nicely throughout the regular season to earn a spot participating in the tournament.  He averaged 152 but had a 183 as a personal best in the 12 game format.  He finished "above the cut" with a 85th overall finish in the tournament.  His best series was in the doubles event where he notched a 522.

Rounding out the Vikings finishers was Zach Cohen.  The Freshman averaged 120 but had several stand out games notching a 158 as a personal high scored during the event.

The championship concludes the Vikings' season as they look to continue to build the program for the future.  If you are interested in joining the bowling team for 2027, please click here to fill out a prospective student-athlete interest form and be sure to select "Bowling" as one of the sports you are interested in.
