Farmingdale, NY – The SUNY Westchester Men's and Women's Cross Country Team opened up their Fall 2024 season this past Saturday at the Golden Eagle Invitational hosted by St. Joseph's University.
Starting his Sophomore season strong was Westchester's Student Body Government President Alphonso "Billy" Leblanc who finished the 8k race with a time of 32:21.5 with an average mile time of 6:30.5. Not to be outdone, the Lady Viking harriers did well individually in their first fall event.
Domenica Tepan Largo would finish her 5k race with a time of 28:17.1 which would average out to be just above a nine-minute mile. Ana Maria Perez would finish with a time of 37:44.5.
The Vikings look forward to their next invitational on Saturday September 28
th when they will travel to Annandale on the Hudson for the Fred Pavlich Invitational hosted by Bard College.
