Box Score (Valhalla, NY) - Region XV leading BMCC netted a 7-0 win over Westchester Community College on Saturday in a game played at Barrett Field. With their second consecutive loss, Westchester Community College falls to 6-4 overall, and 5-4 in Region XV play.
After an even opening stretch of a game that had huge post-season seeding implications, BMCC (9-0, 5-0 Region XV) found the net in the 18th minute to open scoring. After another long back-and-forth stretch of even play, the Panthers scored in the 30th, 33rd, and 42nd minute to go into a halftime with a 4-0 lead.
Despite a battle from WCC to open the second half, the Panthers scored three times during a 15-minute span midway through the second half to notch their ninth consecutive win.
Westchester Community College returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 12 when they travel to Kingsborough Community College for a 4:00 p.m. tilt. The Vikings return home on Tuesday, Oct. 17 when they host Middlesex County College at 4:00 p.m. for their regular season finale. The Vikings remain in the driver's seat to end the 2017 as a top-four team in Region XV and would host an opening-round playoff game.
