Valhalla, NY - The Westchester Community College men's soccer program enters the 2026 season with high expectations after putting together an impressive 9-4-2 campaign a year ago. The Vikings established themselves as one of the top programs in the Mid-Hudson Conference, finishing as conference runners-up while proving they could compete with some of the strongest teams in Region 15.

This season, Westchester will once again face a demanding schedule filled with familiar rivals and perennial contenders. The Vikings will renew their conference battles against Orange County Community College, Rockland Community College, Dutchess Community College, and reigning Mid-Hudson Conference champion Ulster Community College as they pursue the conference crown.

The challenge will not stop there. Westchester will also test itself against some of the premier programs in Region 15, including Nassau Community College and defending Region 15 champion Suffolk Community College. Every match will provide an opportunity for the Vikings to prove that they belong among the region's elite programs.

Despite the difficult road ahead, there is plenty of optimism surrounding the program. A talented group of returning players, combined with an exciting class of newcomers, has generated enthusiasm throughout the team as preparations for the season continue. Their blend of experience, determination, and fresh talent gives the Vikings the opportunity to build upon last year's success.

After falling just short of reaching the summit in 2025, Westchester has its sights set on something even bigger. The Vikings know that every practice, every match, and every challenge will bring them one step closer to their ultimate goal of capturing a Mid-Hudson Conference championship and making a deep run through Region 15 competition.

The climb begins now, and the Vikings are determined to reach the top of the mountain.
