Box Score September 11, 2022

Valhalla, NY - The Viking's Men's Soccer team was back in action on Saturday as full team effort earned them a win over the visiting Red Hawks of Laguardia Community College, 11-0.  The win was the first in what the team hopes to be many this coming season.  

Freshman, Ruben Cevallos got Westchester on the board just two minutes into the match after taking a cross from Freshman Adrian Tenezaca.  at the 15 minute mark, Freshman Kevin Vasquez netted the team's 2nd goal of the game when he found the back of the net off of a rebounded shot.  Freshman Alabdiel Hernandez then knocked in the 3rd goal of the match at 28 minutes, as the team took firm control of the match.  Hernandez also chipped in another goal in the 2nd half to go along with an assist..  

The Vikings led 5-0 at the half and continued their scoring with contributions off the bench.  Freshman Samuele Rrotaj scored two of his own in the 2nd half to add to Westchester's lead.  Jason Duque also placed two assists and a goal as a reserve to help contribute to the scoring effort.

With the win, the Vikings move to 1-1 on the season.  They return to action on Tuesday, September 13th as the team welcomes Queensborough Community College at 4pm on Barrett Field.
