Box Score September 23, 2022
Valhalla, NY – The Vikings were back in action on Thursday as they welcomed the #10 ranked Bulldogs of Bergen Community College.  Though the team was able to keep the game within reach until late in the 2^nd half, Westchester fell 3-0.

Bergen opened the scoring at the 15 minute mark as they were able to score off of a diving save by Israel Pardo (Bedford Hills, NY/Fox Lane HS) on a ball that just couldn't be secured and dribbled to the Bulldog striker who knocked it in.  At 23 minutes in, Bergen added a goal on a play that left their forward one on one with Pardo, who was unable to deflect the shot enough to prevent the score. 

The Vikings played tough from there, though narrowly missing a few scoring chances on some great saves by the Bergen keeper, while also foiling the Bulldog attack.  But a late soccer by Bergen at the 88^th minute iced the match for good. 

With the loss, the Vikings fall to 4-3 overall but 4-1 in Region XV.  They return to the field on Saturday, September 24^th at 1pm when they travel to Nassau Community College to take on the Lions at Mitchell Field.
