Hall of Fame
During the storied history of the WCC Wrestling program, there are few, if any, who enjoyed the success that Bill Ciccarelli enjoyed during his two years as a Viking. An undefeated wrestling champion, team captain, regional champion, and NJCAA National Tournament participant, Ciccarelli routinely competed against the best in the country, and regularly defeated them.
He won a championship at a Colgate University event that included 35 colleges and universities. He was the runner-up at a competition in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania that included 58 colleges and universities. During a trip to Florida, he went undefeated, earning wins against the Florida State Champion (Miami Dade), as well as Broward Community College.
After WCC, Ciccarelli attended SUNY Brockport, where he earned his B.S. and Masters Degrees. At Brockport, he wrestled for two years, received a fellowship as Assistant Coach, and won the NCAA Division III National Championship. He also placed third in the US Olympic final qualification freestyle round in Montreal, Canada.
In addition, Ciccarelli served as Varsity Coach at Bacon High School, and Assistant Coach at WCC.
