If 1975 was any indicator, the 1976 Viking team would be one tough team to contend with. The ’76 Football Team lived up to that standard and beyond. They were ranked #1 Club Team in the nation on the strength of their recent success and ended up going undefeated within the season (11-0). The team went on to play in the National Championship against #4 Providence and won it all with a score of 48-0. The Vikings were a powerhouse, averaging 35 points per game (385 Points Scored) and only giving up 4.6 points per game (51 Points Allowed). The team also boasted 7 All-American’s for '76.
