Hall of Fame
Men's Bowling has a long and successful tradition at Westchester Community College, and when it comes to the bowling tradition at WCC, Dennis Light is the gold standard.
Over the course of two seasons, Light earned just about every award imaginable as he was a two-time NJCAA All-American, Region XV Bowler of the Year, and in 1994 teamed with fellow Hall of Famer Antonio Arzaga to capture the NJCAA Bowling National Championship with a team score of 1475.
At one point, Light produced an 801 series, which remains the highest three-game series ever bowled by a WCC bowler. He also finished second in the nation in All Events in 1994. He graduated with the second highest bowling average in Viking history with a 217.4.
Light is a past president of the New York State Bowling Commission, and is a member of the NJCAA Bowling Coach's Hall of Fame.
Light used his Westchester CC education to pursue a law degree from Pace University and open his own law practice.
