One of the most accomplished Cross Country runners in Westchester Community College history, Jim Ingegneri literally rewrote the Viking record book during an outstanding career. In 1968, Ingegneri - a New York State Champion Harrier while running for Fox Lane High School who is in the school’s Hall of Fame - shattered the program’s record time for a race by more than 20 seconds, leading the Vikings to their first-ever Mid-Hudson Conference Championship.
Â
For his efforts, Ingegneri earned All-Conference honors from the Mid-Hudson Conference, First Team All-Region distinction from Region XV, and was an NJCAA All-American.
Â
After Westchester CC, Ingegneri worked for the Katonah-Lewisboro School District for 30 years, working in Buildings and Grounds as a Code Compliance Officer. He also coached Cross Country and Track at John Jay Cross River High School. He is currently President of Ingegneri Cleaning Services, Inc., a family-operated business he has owned for 35 years.
